how to connect Custom Shapes in run time ?

Hi, I was having the same problem with the connector on a custom shape so I updated my code with what you have above.  I can connect from a custom shape to a regular shape, but when the custom shape is the target of the connection I get a runtime error: TargetInvocationException:
